Through a playful approach, the performance investigates the associations language can evoke, between word, object, body and meaning. With a focus on the erotic, the performance seeks to push the boundaries of language and explore the potential for 'textual autonomy', where names no longer represent the thing, rendering language malleable and twistable.
The performance is based on Gertrude Stein's experimental text, Tender Buttons. Featuring a blend of movement, performance art, and spoken word, it challenges the act of meaning-making.
